DEFRA cuts UK wheat production further, in latest Data release.

Latest official crop estimates sees 2020 🇬🇧 UK 🍞 wheat production at 9.7Mt, a cut of nearly 0.5Mt from their previous estimate. The implication is that more wheat or 🌽 maize imports will be needed to compensate. To achieve this, UK domestic prices will need to remain at a significant premium to 🇪🇺 Continental markets, to encourage the huge import requirement.
